If you have a fast enough model, they can run behind you and get in your panorama shots more than once. Thanks for playing along, @solstice_cat! Our 4.5km hike this afternoon ended at this beautiful white sand beach in the Kejimkujik Seaside National Park. Wynne walked all but a couple short sections and Mae napped and was otherwise happy in the backpack. Tomorrow, we'll hitch up to see the rest of Kejimkujik that lies inland in the center of the southern peninsula of Nova Scotia. #Kejimkujik #keji #novascotia #visitnovascotia #whitesand #panorama

While Keji Seaside is just across the bay, the view from the beach just behind @13roads camp site at the Thomas Raddall Provincial Park is pretty sweet. And to follow up, we were able to have our U.S. vet contact a local Canadian vet who called in the prescription to replace Gorilla's eye drops that got eaten by the mouse, and she's doing great. #yeswehaveadog #airstreamwithdogs #novascotia #visitnovascotia #visitnovascotiawithdogs #canineglaucomaisreal #micearearseholes

@advodna_ann and I alternate days with one of us waking up with the kids while the other gets to sleep in. Since that's only on the other side of a curtain, its sometimes easier said than done. Still, that entire full size bed all to yourself and no one climbing on you can feel like heaven (even if it sounds like a drum circle). #parentingontheroad #futuredrummers #lifeunder200sqft #tinyhousewithkids #childhoodearplugged

The Seaside Adjunct of Kejimkujik National Park (and the Thomas Raddall Provincial Park we stayed at) was pretty stunning. Excited to see the rest of Keji inland today! #kejimkujiknationalpark #kejimkujiknationalparkseaside #thomasraddallprovincialpark #snail #lookatthatescargot

As we pulled into Keji National Park this afternoon, we stopped at the Visitor Center to get the Xplorer book, the Canadian equivalent to the Junior Ranger program. One of the activities was to bake some bread over the campfire the way the Mi'kmaw people who'd lived in the area for four thousand years had.
.
I cut a couple rounds off a downed birch branch behind camp, sanded them smooth and drilled two small holes in the bases so they could stick on the end of our marshmallow toasting forks. We formed the dough around the plugs and toasted them over coals in attempt to make little "cups" to fill with salami and cheese for the kids. While it sorta worked, for ourselves we opted to press the rest of the dough into the bottom of a silicon 8x8 baking pan, layer in shredded kale with a couple slivers of butter on top, pour 6 beaten eggs over it and sprinkle with cheese to bake in the oven.
.
It was delicious. Planning on bringing our recipe to the next meeting of the elders. #airstreamkitchen #mikmawquiche #xplorer #kejimkujiknationalpark

You gotta fit the workout in somehow. Note, the helmet is 'cause we were on a bike ride, but actually kinda seemed like a good idea anyway. @advodna_ann #fitmom #mommastrong #kejimkujiknationalpark

Canoeing on the Mersey River! #travelwithkids #familytravel #canoeingwithkids #kejimkujiknationalpark

Kejimkujik Lake was a bit too windy this afternoon to head out to the islands, but the Mersey River was a beautiful alternative. The water has a rich reddish brown tint created by tons of plant life bio-degrading and steeping in it just like tea. Great having @13roads and @solstice_cat song for the paddle! #kejimkujiknationalpark #canoeingwithkids #familytravel #travelwithkids

Mae fell asleep in the car on the way back from canoeing yesterday, so we left her in there with the doors open while we unpacked. Okay, fine, it was a full hour while we unpacked, cleaned the house, had snacks and collapsed on the couch. But we weren't worried, Gorilla made sure she had company and wasn't gonna let anything happen to her. #dogsofinstagram #raisedbywolves #travelwithkids #familytravel #carnap #yeswehaveadog

We said our goodbyes to @13roads, @13roads_don and @solstice_cat this morning at camp with hugs all around and promises to see each other again soon. We didn't actually think it would be *this* soon. For some reason, no one wanted to hug again here. #airstream #liveriveted #myrivetedlife #pairstream #dumpday #airstreamfriends
