Time to feed the twins. Between the northeast in February, Gulf Coast in March, Atlantic Coast in April and the Blueridge in May, our propane use has been all over the map (pun intended). Thankfully, when we woke up to a cold trailer this morning, they have their own filling station here at Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park. The building has been a general store for over 100 years, but it wasn't until two of the guys who owned it in the 80's started opening the doors while practicing with their Bluegrass band that the idea of the Friday Night Jamboree came to be. Now, an enthusiastic crowd of locals and those who've read features in their local big-city newspapers gathers to hear authentic bluegrass and old-time music in a traditional setting every Friday night. Between the views, the location, the people and, of course, the Airstreams, Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. We took a great mile or so walk around the 73 acre property yesterday down to a beautiful waterfall.
